This Is A Call to Our People!
Have you ever really thought about what the dancefloor is all about? Although these elements help - it's so much more than great music, brilliant DJs, a knockout venue and your kindred.
Dancefloors remind us what’s possible.

Raves started because folk were misunderstood.
Minority communities relied upon the freedom they gave. 'The Black and queer and trans communities in Detroit created underground parties as a sanctuary away from discrimination.
These spaces became vital for self-expression, healing and freedom and music, turned into belonging' and still does to this day.
At Liquid Spirit Gozo, we celebrate everyone who makes it to our dancefloor.
No matter who we are and what our story is, the moment the music starts, barriers fall away.
We move together, breathe together and find peace in all that the dancefloor gives us.
All our dancefloor stories are different.
Back in the day, I remember awkward dancefloor moments like waiting for that all-important dance request from your first love, or moving your body for the first time and being so painfully self-aware. Anyone else?
That all changed one year in Ibiza. I watched a girl walk from the loo to the DJ (Nenah Cherry) with a long scrunched up mile of toilet roll hanging from her pants. She just started dancing like nobody was watching. I was mortified for her. Eventually a kind soul let her know the situation, but she just laughed, shook it out like a wet dog and carried right on dancing like a queen.
I was healed. In that moment I knew the dancefloor was my friend. I learned it's not about how you look or move, who’s watching, or whether you get it right. It’s about freedom. Release. Connection and honouring that Detroit dancefloor feeling.
Stories From The Dancefloor
When did you first really let go on the dancefloor and dance for you without inhibition?

I always used to think, if we can create unity in a club, on a beach, in a field under the stars… then surely we can create it everywhere. Dancefloors are proof that peace isn’t just a dream. It’s alive, it’s real, and it’s waiting for us to claim it.
Sweet corners of the earth where everyone moves as one.
This has fuelled our Legacy and Love campaign for 2026. From the music, those that deliver it and those dance to it, to the sacred and love-fuelled land of Gozo Island..we stand for peace when offering our dancefloors out to you. And YOU bring the love, the warmth, the friendliness and the SPIRIT to Liquid Spirit Gozo.
We're creating something special….
Stories From The Dancefloor is a celebration of the very people in our communities, who’ve made club culture what it is: the musicians, producers, singers, DJs..The venues, the dancers, the wanderers, the sound heads...the misfits and loyal crews who’ve shown up, year after year, and built the moments we will never forget.
Forget who's headlining, or who knows all the words to the latest tune. Forget the clique of how long you've been raving for, or where you chose to do so...this is about the stories we have all experienced from being CALLED to the dancefloor.
We invite you to share your stories with us. The real moments and unforgettable times that stitched you into our fabulous dance culture.
Maybe you have a memory of your first ever party?
Or a track that got you through heartbreak that played out at a specific venue?
Maybe it was a Sunday afternoon in a sticky basement where the world finally made sense! Maybe you met your lifelong dancing buddy at a specific place or to a specific song?
Whatever it is – we want to hear it.
