Meet the LIQUID SPIRIT Gozo 2026 DJ & Selectors

The first names on our Legacy & Love line-up have landed. We’re bringing together the selectors who’ve shaped our dancefloors, built the scene from the ground up, and still show up with energy, experience, and heart.

Line up
Bobby And Steve

Don't call it a throwback!

It’s a living, breathing masterclass in the music that moves us.

Bobby & Steve return with a Club Zoo Reunion, honouring the iconic legacy of the scene they helped build and bringing that unmistakable groove to Gozo.

Expect joy, unity, and serious soul and watch out for a deeper dive into their undeniably pivotal heritage tomorrow on the blog.

What To Expect

Think rare groove, garage, disco, deep house, soulful house and real vocal cuts. The stuff that fed London’s underground from the late 80s through the 90s and beyond.

The sound that lit up Ministry of Sound, High On Hope, and the original Club Zoo dancefloors. It’s the no-phones-needed, arms-in-the-air, eyes-closed kinda vibe.

They’re playing tunes and telling stories of the culture, the community, and the soul movement that shaped clubbing as we know it.

Line up
Brandon Block

The Original Good-Time General

We want energy.

We got Brandon Block.

A legend with stories for days and sets that hit in all the right places. Brandon’s been igniting dancefloors since the white-label days bringing that wild, infectious spirit everywhere from Ibiza terraces to London basements.

And now, he’s bringing it to Gozo.

What To Expect

Expect a proper blend of house classics, Balearic gems, funky grooves, and sun-drenched anthems. Think: Space Ibiza in the 90s, clocking into Shoom, Ministry, Clockwork Orange… firing on all cylinders.

Brandon lifts the room and brings the party. It will feel like your best night out.

Line up
Craig Smith (photo credit Colin Williams)

The DJs DJ.

When Craig Smith steps up, you know you’re in safe hands.

A selector’s selector, and Conoissuers choice, Craig brings depth, taste, and that rare ability to read and shape a room.

From the Sound Signature school of soul to deep house done properly, his sets are an education and a release all in one.

What To Expect

Expect deep, soulful house layered with broken beat, jazz-infused edits, and percussive pressure.

His roots run through Scotland’s underground, from the seminal 4Play parties to international gigs that never compromise on quality.

If you’re into the sounds of Ron Trent, Restless Soul, Dego & Kaidi, Theo Parrish, or the extended Chicago–Detroit–London dialogue, Craig’s set is where you want to be.

Rooted in heritage and delivered with finesse.

Line up
Mickey D

The Tastemaker’s Tastemaker

Bridging industry clout with underground credibility, Mickey D stands in a lane of his own. With roots at the legendary Black Market Records and a heavyweight A&R career at EMI and WEA, Mickey helped shape the sound of the UK on and off the dancefloor.

He's the man behind the rise of Mark Morrison, Shola Ama, Cleopatra, and Glamma Kid, and a DJ, producer in his own right. Check out his PURE BEATS ’N’ VIBES show on Mi-Soul Radio on Thursday nights.

What This Means

Mickey D brings a seamless mix of soulful house, R&B-laced grooves, broken beat, and future-minded funk. Expect clean transitions, tasteful builds, and feel good flow. This one’s for the heads and the heart.

Line up
Ricky Morrison

Hold The Phone! It's Ricky Morrison!

You can’t talk about UK house music without saying the name Ricky Morrison.

From the early days of Dance Wicked with Soul II Soul to a five-year run in the main room at Southport Weekender, Ricky has been laying down the grooves since day one and doing it with power, soul, and style.

As one half of the legendary M&S Productions, his name is etched into the DNA of the scene. The man’s not just played the music he helped build the movement.

What This Means

Ricky delivers unapologetic house music with soul, gospel, funk and bassline muscle.

Think: chunky grooves, hands-up vocals, and a deep understanding of how to make a floor lift off without ever losing its roots.

His sets are high energy, emotionally rich, and always anchored in that original London soulful sound that shaped a generation of DJs and dancers alike.

Line up
Ronnie Herel

Go Ronnie! Go Ronnie! Go!

He don't upset no rhythm. When Ronnie Herel plays, the room listens and JUMPS.

A true maestro, Ronnie has been at the forefront of UK black music culture for decades. From his groundbreaking time at BBC Radio 1Xtra to his current role of Head of Music at Mi-Soul Radio, he’s always flown the flag for quality.

What To Expect

Whether behind the mic or the decks, Ronnie brings connection, authenticity, and musicality every time. Expect a blend of soulful house, R&B- soul and epic dancefloor classics, and most definitely - a few surprisel woven together with unmistakable flair.

Ronnie’s sets are rich, vibrant, and rooted in the essence of black music excellence—the kind that nods to the past while pushing things forward.

One of the real ones. And very much at home on our Gozo dancefloor.
