How to Travel to Liquid Spirit Gozo
Your Essential Guide to Flights, Ferries, Shuttles & Getting Around Gozo Island.
Getting to LIQUID SPIRIT Gozo is simple. Whether you’re flying in from the UK, cruising across the Mediterranean, or arriving by foot ferry, we’ve made sure your journey is as easy and inspiring as the destination itself. This guide covers everything you need to know about getting to Gozo, how to move around during the festival, and the transport options we’ve arranged to make your stay seamless from start to finish.
Flights to Malta from the UK & Ireland
Malta is the main gateway to Gozo, and return flights in September are more affordable when booked early, so keep your eyes peeled for a bargain. Here are typical prices based on 7-day return fares.

Once you land in Malta, you have the option of two ferry services to get to the Island of Gozo. Summer schedules for both ferries are published in June.
Getting From Malta To Gozo

Gozo Highspeed Ferry
From Malta International Airport, take a bus or grab a cab to the Lascaris Wharf Terminal in the Grand Harbour in Valletta, which is approximately 10 minutes from the airport by car or up to 30 minutes by bus. You can either grab the next fast ferry that arrives or book online ahead of time and spend some time in the beautiful town of Valletta before you board.

Gozo Channel Ferry
The iconic Gozo Channel Ferry carries both foot passengers and vehicles and operates 24-7 (weather dependent). From the airport, take the X1 bus, grab a cab or hire a car and drive approx 40 minutes to Ċirkewwa Ferry Port north of Malta. Ferries run to schedule, and you only pay when you leave Gozo.

Getting Around Gozo
Taxis
ECabs, Bolt and Uber all operate in Malta and Gozo. Download the apps before you arrive. Grab a cab from Malta Airport or the Gozo ferry terminal when you arrive on the island.
Buses
Malta Public Transport operates a reliable bus service across the island. Check out their website for a handy journey planner and seasonal offers.
Car Hire
There are lots of car hire companies to choose from. Book your vehicle in advance and pick it up from the airport or on Gozo.

La Grotta is a 5-10 minute walk from Xlendi Bay.
Both Bays are popular seaside resorts on Gozo Island and have plenty of bars, shops & restaurants and island activities.
