Each year at Liquid Spirit Gozo, we carve out a moment that brings our guests even closer to the soulful spirit of the island. That moment is Soulfood, a one-afternoon-only pop-up dining and music event that fuses authentic local cuisine, knockout scenery, and unforgettable DJ sets.
SOULFOOD is our love letter to Gozo, and a must-attend highlight of Liquid Spirit Gozo.
SOULFOOD - THE SOUL
Soulfood has become a moment over the LIQUID SPIRIT Gozo weekend, not only to offer something different, but to indulge, unwind, and connect and more over, celebrate some of the musical heroes in our soulful community.
Past headliners have included Abi Clarke, Claire Graham, Ronnie Herel and Craig Smith. In 2024, we celebrated the outstanding 55-year career of Terry Jones, and last year, we flew over The Saturday Soul Affair team, CJ Willcox and Steve Cole, who will once again host the event in 2026, joined by Matt Bigg and Martin Lodge.
SOULFOOD - THE FOOD
We hand-pick an extraordinary Gozitan location that captures the raw beauty of Gozo and mix a true local dining experience rooted in the island's culinary culture. We partner with local foodie destinations, family-run kitchens, and independent businesses to make sure every element of the afternoon supports and honours the island. Country Terrace was such a success last year, so we are repeating. Expect exceptional food and unprecedented views over Malta, Comino and Gozo.

For soul music lovers in London, Saturday Soul Affair is a name that needs no introduction. Hosted by long-time residents and curators CJ Willcox and Steve Cole, the event has become a regular fixture at The Burlington Arms in Mayfair. Known for its relaxed vibe and carefully selected tunes, it’s a gathering that draws in a loyal crowd who appreciate good music and good company.
What makes Saturday Soul Affair special isn’t just the music, it’s the community it has built over the years. CJ and Steve have created more than just an event; it’s a space where soul fans can unwind, connect, and let the music do its thing. With a mix of classic soul, rare grooves, and modern gems, the event keeps the vibe just right—never over the top, always about the music.
